The city of Otavalo, located in the province of Imbabura is also known as the province of the lakes “Los Lagos“. Otavalo is located less than two hours north of Quito. Visited every year by thousands of tourists from all over the world, for its picturesque beauty and its well-known Otavalo market. At the Otavalo market, you can find an endless variety of textile products, as well as all kinds of crafts that fill this square with a rainbow of colors.

On the other hand this indigenous group, still retains its original way of dressing, the festivities of the sun (Inti Raimi in the month of June), the moon (Koya Raimi in the month of September) and in honor of the mountains, the feast of the harvest, Yamor to thank the mother earth “Pacha Mama” (first days of September), making Otavalo a place with so much cultural richness it is a place definitely worth visiting.
