8:00 am We will pick you up from your preferred accommodation in Quito or Airport area, to discover Mindo Cloud forest on a two day one night adventure,  this unique ecosystem near Quito, has wonderful little places to visit in the middle of the vast cloud forest that belongs to the Mindo Nambillo reserve. Get to the small and slow paced town of Mindo from Quito and start with the adventure!

10:00 am: Arrival to our first stop a bird watching garden locatd 15 minutes before arriving to the town of MIndo, at this garden there have been placed feeders, where you will mostly see tanagers with different colors as well as other birds as toucans for example, dependeing on what nature has to show us, also here we can feed humming birds, which is an out of this world experience, to feel humming birds standing on your fingers.

11:00 Start by deepening in the forest on a gravel road ride and get to the place where you will start with the first activity planned, by flying over the forest on a cable car that will get you into the Waterfall Sanctuary and its different hikes, along the hiking path you will be surrounded by nature, breathe pure air and have the chance to mainly observe, small animals as centipedes, spiders, fireflies, butterflies, lizards, among others, also you will get to several small waterfalls along the hike. Remember that on the highlands nothing is flat.

12:30 am:  After the hike, cable car and, waterfalls,  there are some activities that you can be part of, on the way back to town as for example:

Zipline that offers two options 3 lines and/or a 10 lines circuit, all with different speed, lenghts and heights. (Optional)

1:00 pm Next go for a local lunch!! Eat as an Ecuadorian!

2:00 pm Our next stop is the butterfly farm to learn about and observe some of the most beautiful and colorful butterflies in the area, also have the chance to buy souvenirs with butterflies themes from the available shop.

3:30pm Hotel check in, at the hotel you have chosen to stay over night and have an afternoon break

5:30 pm Check out Mindo town its main square an attractions get some snacks or have an early dinner

6:30 pm Start going to the insect or frog concert to start with the nigh tour. At the frog concert you will be given a small talk and then start looking for frogs, toads, and any other animals found on the walk as insects, spiders, and many other small night animals.

Back to your accomodation! 

Please note: if for some reason there is something whch could not be acomplished this day we will do it the second day!

Early morning (6am approx.)  we will  start with our birding morning to look for the amazing and colorful birds, which nature and our good eyes will let us observe for about 3  hours, at the spots chosen by our birding guide, some of the most common birds in this area are, Scarlet bellied Mountain Tanager, Sword Billed Hummingbirds, Barred Fruit Eater, Black Chested Mountain Tanager, Rufus Antpita just to name a few. This morning we will look for as many birds possible, to then go back to town, have breakfast.

And, last to finish this two day tour will be visiting a craft made chocolate factory to learn about the chocolate as a pot, fruit, bean and all the process until it becomes a chocolate bar, at the end you will make some different experiments in your mouth  and try different percentages of dark chocolate and combinations, as well as tasting the best brownie in town!

Any activity that was not done the day before and you would like to do, we are able to do on day two!
